Molly & Lex - Nice Day For A Wet Wedding

Kim and I have been to several weddings in the Presidio, but the wedding of Molly and Lex was like none other, because the rain poured all day long. Being natives of the Golden State, this is not something that happens to us very often! But the weather could not put a damper on this incredibly beautiful day. See for yourself...

The ceremony took place at the Main Post Chapel, an historic church perched on a hillside. Molly got ready there.

The hair pin was Molly's "something old".

Molly's bridesmaids were the best-- they really did a great job and had a lot of fun doing it!

Look at that smile!

These unbeleiveable arrangements were made by Annie Siu. She does some really amazing work. The fresh lime smelled soooo good!

I love the bright green of the bouquets against the pewter dresses-- so chic!

Molly's getting married! Lucky for us, the front doors of the chapel are covered by a generous awning.
The guys were not so lucky-- we asked Lex and his groomsmen to stand in the pouring rain so we could get this shot, and they were great sports.

The reception was held at the Golden Gate Club, just down the hill. Even though we stayed inside for these shots, it feels like we are completely surrounded by the trees. And the light here was incredible!

The rain prevented us from going down to Chrissy Field, but we improvised, and Molly and Lex took advantage of the crazy weather to get these fantastic photos! You can see the chapel behind them, if you can take your eyes of Molly in the hot pink boots!

The calla lilies made dramatic table settings, and mirrored the trees right outside.

As guests came in from the rain, they were treated to "shots" of butternut squash soup, by Ann Walker Catering. Perfect! I can't tell you how many guest I saw discreetly licking their glasses.

Molly and Lex paid a nod to his German heritage by sawing a log together. In all our years of shooting, this was a first! We just love to see different cultures incorporated into the day.

Molly and Lex held the attention of everyone in the room as they danced their first dance. Molly sang the words to Lex the whole time.

And they continued to own the dance floor-- so much fun!

Molly and Lex you were a pleasure to photograph! To see more from this amazing day, please click on the slideshow. And don't forget to leave a little comment!

Matt and Becky - Napa Style

Last week Kim and I took a break from the city and headed up to wine country, for the much anticipated wedding of Becky and Matt. WOW! Not only are Becky and Matt oozing with individual style, but they are truly sincere and down-to-earth people. What a rare combination, and a treat to photograph!

Okay... Becky was the queen of kick ass shoes! This pair was stunning!
Becky got ready at the Meritage Resort and Spa. Kim and I have vowed to return to this place for a girls' weekend!

Becky's mom hands over her "something old".

The intimate ceremony was held at the St. Helena Catholic Church. Becky was absolutely radiant!

The floral was done by Julie Stevens Design. I love the colors and hues she put together for Becky's flowers.
Our first stop was the old train station, on the main road in Napa.

Can you believe it is October? The weather was amazing!!!

The reception was held at a private residence with the most amazing views of the Napa Valley. In addition, there was an infinity pool with helium globes blowing in the breeze, cocktails served on the bocce court, and beautiful herb gardens filling the air. This was the best of Northern California, all rolled into one location!

Every time I see these pics... I was to say "Bond, Matt Bond". He just looks so 007!

As the band took the stage, Becky and Matt and their family and friends got down to some serious dancing! We didn't want to leave!

The catering staff at Broadway Catering and Events did a breathtaking harvest table with fantastic cheeses, breads and fruit cascading out of a three tiered basket - it was a sight to behold. Check out the slide show below to see this and other wonderful details from this one of a kind event!
And don't forget to leave a comment - we love gettin' some love!!

Adrienne and Kent - Classic San Francisco

Adrienne and Kent brought us into the the city last week to photograph their wedding, and brought us to some of the most beautiful and traditional architecture in the city. We started off with Kent, at the heavenly St. Mark's Lutheran Church, in the heart of the city.

While Kent waited above, Adrienne got ready below.

Deborah, Adrienne's MOH, waits to enter the church.

The light during the ceremony was incredible-- as if the sun shone just for Adrienne and Kent!

The reception was held at the Hamlin Mansion, another historic venue. The views are spectacular, the interiors are dramatic, and the service here is top notch!

The cake was almost too pretty to eat-- almost!

The sun went down and the music came up, as the party kicked into full swing! Adrienne and Kent, we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!

Bridge to Bridge with Brian & James

Kim and I were back in the city last week to do an engagement session with Brian and James. We had been looking forward to it since the day they booked us! Brian and James have a spark when they are together, which makes them an absolute pleasure to photograph. Their September wedding promises to be one of the highlights of next year!

We met Brian and James at Americano, the lounge inside the Hotel Vitale. We could have hung out there all afternoon!

Next, we strolled the Embarcedro, and stopped in front of the Banana Republic mural.

The Bay Bridge-- our first bridge of the day!

We stopped off in the Presidio, at a few of our favorite locations. Brian and James look like they stepped out of a catalogue!

Our last stop was Baker Beach. The fog had rolled in, but you can still see the Golden Gate Bridge-- our second bridge of the day! The weather was suddenly cold, by California standards at least, But Brian and James were great sports.
