Stephanie and Mark - A Picture Perfect Day

Kim and I were in the city last week, for the long-anticipated wedding of Stephanie and Mark. We have had so much fun with these two-- a fantastic engagement shoot, an exciting rehearsal session, and finally, the Big Day! Stephanie and Mark had their ceremony at Old St. Mary's, the SF landmark that borders Chinatown (on the same night as the Chinese New Year celebration) and their exquisite reception at the magnificent Olympic Club. From start to finish, this was a picture perfect day!

K: Niki shot this image of the menu. First of all - could that lighting be any cooler- great job bringing the drama sister. Second - I love the simple and elegant style of the stationary.

Stephanie and her bridesmaids got ready at the Olympic Club-- so much fun!

N: I had some serious shoe envy over these sexy silver numbers!
K: There Niki goes again with her shoe fetish!

K: Steph's hair was so GOOD!

Mark sent over a love letter...

N:The stairs in the entry of the Olympic Club were the perfect setting for these glamorous girls! Kim grabs this shot, as we get the girls on the stairs...

...and I get the shot from this view.

N:I had a ball photographing Stephanie-- she looked like a vintage movie starlet!

And Kim took advantage of this great angle!

K: Niki shot this image - oh I love the leg and the grid... so cool.
N: Now it's time for Matt and the boys! We brought them outside, using the classic architecture as a backdrop. Kim has this great close up...

...while I am getting the big shot.

N: We asked the boys to stand in the street while traffic stopped and people cheered!
K: Yea - I remember thinking... "I hope no one is in a hurry.. I don't want to die." But it is the city so it's just like double parking ;).

N: One of our FAVORITE times of the whole day-- walking back down the aisle.
K: I love how Mark reach for his mom at this moment. They had such a great relationship. Made me look down the road 25 years to my sons getting married. I'm not too proud to say I got a little teary.

K: Awe the first moment together as mr. and mrs. - I LOVE that moment.

N: There is the most amazing alley directly across the street from the church-- fantastic!

K: I really love the beauty of Stephanie next to the urban-ness of the graffiti.

Back to the Olympic Club-- let the party begin!

N: Up on the roof, Mr. and Mrs. Penrod take a moment. Here is my perspective...

...while Kim takes a closer view.

K: Here is a great example of both of us shooting the same moment. I love it!

N: Mark took the floor while Stephanie looks on. Kim made this incredible image, using her trademark off camera flash...

And I grabbed this one from the other side.
K: That is such a great moment. And I so love how each of us captured it.

K: Oh another of my favorite times of the day - the first dance. mmmm... yummy!

Stephanie and Mark, we wish you lifetime of love and happiness! Thank you so much for letting us share in your amazing day!

One Day And Counting! Stephanie & Mark Rehearse and Celebrate!

Kim and I were thrilled to join Stephanie and Mark the night before their San Francisco wedding to capture the excitement and anticipation of their rehearsal. Surrounded by family and friends, the two tended to last minute details, laughing along the way.

We started out at Old St. Mary's, the historic landmark on the edge of Chinatown.

Stephanie arrived looking absolutely beautiful!

Mark and a few of his groomsmen.

The celebration continued down the street at Perbacco. Stephanie and Mark were joined by even more family and friends, and everyone had a ball!

Priscilla and Todd - At Last!

Kim and I braved the chilly and wet weather to meet up with Priscilla and Todd, at the waterfront in San Francisco. We have been looking forward to this shoot FOREVER! Our original session, scheduled last year, was a maternity session, celebrating their pregnancy. Of course, baby Cruz had other plans, arriving the morning of our session! Needless to say, Priscilla and Todd have been a bit busy. But it was worth the wait. They are an amazing couple...fun-loving, sweet, and oh so romantic!

We started in front of AT&T Park, home to the San Francisco Giants. The giant palm trees were a great backdrop for some fun shots.

Something about the red umbrella brought out Todd's inner Fred Astaire...

This is the historic Lefty O'Doul Bridge, built by the same engineer that built the Golden Gate!

Look at these fabulous shoes! We did quite a bit of strolling, and these shoes would eventually give Priscilla some serious blisters-- but she was a trooper!

Todd and Priscilla were such great sports-- lying down on the cobblestone sidewalk for this shot.

When the blisters got to be too much, Todd gave Priscilla a piggy back ride. :)

We took a coffee break at the HiDive-- a really great bar. I know I say this every week, but Kim and I have got to go back when we are not working. :)

MMmmmmmm...coffee!

We could not get enough of this port hole!

We finished up on Pier 28, as the lights of the Bay Bridge came on. What a beautiful ending to a fantastic shoot!

Thanks so much, Priscilla and Todd! We can't wait to shoot your wedding in March!
